Cosmic 2000 watches were large for the era, measuring 38mm in diameter. They fit in well with today's larger look.
This is an early double quick-setting day date Omega watch. Omega created the 1020 series movement with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date. Although the idea of the double quick-set watch is most associated with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega's 1020 series mechanisms were a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches.
But what stands out most about this example is how it presents to the eye in true aethetically expertly restored condition. It is fully Omega and on the wrist it presents essentially like new.
The strong black dial has been previously refinished and the printing could pass as Omega factory done. The only visible wear to the watch is to the back which has slight signs of previous polishing, although the logo is still fully intact, and light wear underneath the lugs. It presents as a 9.5 out of 10.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
A four and a half decade old Omega that presents like new on the wrist!
